My Shakespearean Sonnet

Taking a single glance into the past

Being filled with absolute emotion

Should have known this would not, forever, last

As a single wave fades in the ocean

Emotions that could never be denied

Strong as men like Alexander The Great

As we, in defiance, walked side by side

And guilt laid upon my heart as a weight

Push away from tradition and the norm

No concern for opposing presumptions

And out came the fire, more hot than warm

From those with their naysaying assumptions

In the end when the glass runs out of sand

We will keep moving forward, hand in hand
