Worries (Poem)

I’m worried

Time running low for you

For you to make it right

So you could be free

Of regrets

Of procrastination

To live a better life

I’m worried

About you

And you

Add 22 more

Everyone’s got their own life

Everyone’s got their own problems

And that’s what makes it worse

I’m worried

About me

About what is left behind for me

I’m left with table scraps

Chewing on flavorless gum

There will be nothing left

I’m worried

About a black blanket

Covering my eyes

Leaving me with regrets

Too late

And I’ll run out of stories to tell

Because I’ll forget them all

Too busy screaming

In agony

And fear

I’m worried.
